Field Trip

Well, I do appologize for the lateness of this post, but tomorrow is a HUGE day for the girls of the Shazbots; we were invited to visit Lockheed Martin! I don't think we're allowed to take videos or pictures, but I'll post afterward and let you all know how it goes! ~R.C.

Bah. Nothing interesting to report here.

Well, we have a working robot. Okay, the above title is undeserved.

Five Interesting Things Happening Right Now

1. We have a robot which works. That is definetly a plus. (especially when shipping is only 6 days away)
2. I'm listening to Monkey Magic by Godiego (originally) and Soko (remix) and Switchback by Celldweller and it's completely random, so... XD
3. Lunch is really soon
4. I'm balancing blogging with mechanical, that's kind of fun (not really)
5. And I'm typing...on my computer...and people are congregating around the robot and programmers, in eager anticipation for lunch (which I didn't sign up for, so I'll be last in line. :P like I'm ever not last in line, no matter what happens...)...and there's drilling...going on behind me in the shop.

Ok, nothing that exciting is hapenning right now. But whatevs. I could probably think of something interesting to post about if I tried. Let's see...

Well, I'm here, but only for a little while. It's my mom's birthday, and I'm leaving early. I better get in gear and do what I can for the Woodie Flowers Award*.

2/11/12; It's Electric

Goodness, I love this electrical board! I don't know what it is, but wires and plugs and electrical...stuff, it's always made me feel a little giddy (like jumping up and down and cackling in a disturb-the-person-standing-next-to-you type of way XD). MUST. GET. ON. ELECTRICAL TEAM!!

So this is the lab where we work. I like to make the photos look nice on picnik (not much good at photoshop :(  but these recent ones I didn't have time to edit. Thoughts on this? Anyone?

So yes, this is our work space, the da Vinci Lab. It's not the best picture, but great place, right? I thoght so. :)

Previously (on Thursday,the 9th)

Hey everybody!

Well, the 9th was a less stressful day than today, that's for sure, despite having more to do than today;  probably because I didn't mess up as badly then. :(

But that aside, let's see...

well our robot looks like a robot, that's a good sign. And I cut up some bumpers and promptly wore an old completed one on my head at the prompting of Rebecca and Tracy. Sorry, no pix of that. XD Maybe some other time...

I worked on the blog, etc. until I went out of my mind. Oh, we had sushi that day, that was good...inari, to be precise, and California rolls. I personally love the raw fish myself (and unagi; it's the texture and the sauce. Delicious!), but some sushi is better than no sushi, said I, promptly stuffing my face. No pix of that either, sorry. XD


Well, yep, that's about it. Sorry, not much to say, but it was one of those days.

The Day the Blog Began


What can I say, the day went pretty typical--- my school day was a half-filled glass (whether it was half-empty or full is of course, up to you; me, I'd rather be having cranberry juice. but hey, it could be an oatmeal smoothie, so who am I to complain?), and before I knew it, my incomprehensibilis statu* was altered entirely, as it had been for several weeks prior and i knew it would be until march (and perhaps longer)-- today, after all was robotics.
